Class, Dan Brown was confirmed for travel (for work) to Asia for 2 weeks immediately after Thanksgiving. Therefore he won’t be attending the final presentation. He asked me to send along a note to all of you.

If you get a chance, could you please thank the class on my behalf – they are an incredibly talented group, and I learned much from reviewing their images in class. Some of the imagery presented was truly humbling in terms of its artistic vision and execution.

Class, I have been playing with a program called NIK VIVEZA. It’s the BOMB! Please watch the videos on this link and download the 15 day trial version for free! It can work in either Lightroom or Photoshop.

I’ve been playing with it and it is turning out fantastic results with NO PHOTOSHOP LAYERS or any massive tweeking - all adjustments were made in Viveza! I am providing a before/after picture for you to see the results. The image/example I am providing was shot in RAW/Manual settings from a light meter reading. So the exposure was fairly accurate. But look how I was able to improve the exposure and contrast on my picture!

Watch all of the videos - the are only 2-3 minutes each so it won’t be a strain to watch. The explanation of the videos will be enough to teach you how to use the program which is EASY!
